i did. worked briefly (3 months) for an employment attorney and then opened my own shop. did anything to keep the doors open. clients from yellow pages (this was 2004) and direct mail.

a struggle to get more workers' comp clients since our state eliminated the best way to get claimant information from the BWC. most work comes from referrals from other attorneys who don't do comp. i supplement with doing deed work for a title company and taking juvenile court appointments.

Yes - my experiences have been widely reviewed on this board many times. I succeeded but struggled financially until I lateraled into a cushy government gig.
