So I've been working on an appellate matter for a while, where we're looking to challenge in federal court a specific state law that interferes with my general practice.
And today, I accidentally came across a ruling from the state supreme court from May that's completely on point, and just about word-for-word explains the argument I want to make.

So, um, yeah, I'm knocking off early and going to enjoy a long 4th of july, then pretend I spent the rest of the week finding a case like this.

haha, good deal.

But why are you suing in the DC? I assume you have a federal question, so is the state SC ruling (state law case) binding in any fashion?

I feel you though. Nothing better than finding that on-point case or statute and breathing in that sweet relief.

I usually spend the rest of the time going "is this right" and trying to find cases that hold differently or are more on point.
