http://abovethelaw.com/2017/08/aba-takes-giant-step-backwards-on-transparency/

"Without public input, the Council for the ABA Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar has rolled back measures that make law schools more transparent. The ABA has eliminated from the current consumer information report, available for every ABA-approved law school, several pertinent job categories. It has also obfuscated whether jobs are funded by the law school or earned on the open market. The result: students will be misled after years of progress."

This biggest achievement since the scam was exposed was forcing law schools to back away from their deceptive marketing practices. Under the old regime, almost all schools gave the impression that nearly all graduates were employed in well paying legal roles after graduation. While this hasn't resulted in too many school closures, it has caused enrollment to crater - particularly among the most gifted prospective students.

I don't know if the scam can put the toothpaste back into the tube, but they are apparently trying to take some steps obscure just how bad an investment law school can be.

In early 2010's people thought that scum would flop by now. The scummmer got hurt but they are still scumming, the only difference between than and now is just how scummy all the other schools have gotten vis a vis lawl schools. This is the new normal for the education scum.

I don't understand how the ABA can be so disconnected from the profession it claims to advocate for. So many of their decisions make no sense at all. They undermine the profession more than they aid it. The AMA is what the ABA should strive to become. Unfortunately, every step forward is met with two steps backward.

Boomers are looting what's left while looting is still can be done. They are not disconnected, in fact it is the opposite. They are this crap got a timer on it, so they are giving last good squeeze.
