While Posner is worshipped by law faculty, I find his ideas unworkable in the real world.

Balls to him; personally, I don't care about Posner, Easterbrook, or any of the other "star" judges that geeky law students/grads worship...

I heard both of those speak while in LS. They struck me as verbose jerks who had jobs that allowed and encouraged them to be jerks, and people who worshipped the ground they walked on struck me as losers.

Haha, all the Federalist Society geeks in my school thought those judges were great, and they'd be all clerking for them and/or on their way to becoming judges themselves in no time flat; when they realized they'd be lucky to have a job fighting with Progressive for Chaniqua's money and the closest they'd EVER come to these judges would be asking if they wanted fries with while pulling a night shift in their other jobs... as I recall, their ardor for pithy judge-speak and the judges themselves cooled considerably. LOL.

I will always love Posner because my Evidence prof. HATED him with a passion. She had a distinct Barbara Streisand vibe to her. She was always prim and proper until we got a Posner case, and then it would sound like she had tourette's. I should say that she went to U. of Chicago for law school and had him as a professor which is the source of the hatred. Anyway, she would call on one of us, then take the case over and just swear like a trucker about how she didn't like his logic. Good times.
