How many schools would close? Would it be Armageddon for the 3rd and 4th tiers and lights out for most 2nd tiers?

I think there'd be an across-the-board reduction in tuition and professor salaries. Excess law schools existed before the modern student loan system. There might be some casualties during the correction, but I doubt it'd be an Armageddon.

Much of the top 50 wouldn't notice. Plenty of private lenders would shell out 10% interest, non-dischargeable loans and plenty of the students have independent resources.

How many students do you think basically self finance the entire law school or near to the entire law school education, percentage wise? 10% 15%
