I don't practice in this area at all. I have a potential client who would like me to draft letters to the businesses clients to collect on outstanding receivables. I will be getting paid hourly for initial demand letters so do not care whether the receivables are collectable. I understand that the FDCPA only applies to consumer collections. Anything I am missing?

Better yet, offer one of the many debt-collection monkeys who inhabit this forum to consult for a modest fee

Send a certified letter with the spirit of this video included in the body plus references to the contract/order covering the debt.

FD: I don't do debt collections in Jersey unless you count rent money from dead beats.

See, I don't try to collect from deadbeats. I only collect from people who represent to me that they are good for it.
