Just perusing law school admissions on Reddit, I saw several "I am in at UCLA", or "I am in at NYU". There were some sad posts such as "I just saw someone with a 180 and high GPA Rejected by Cornell on LSN. Unless they're lying about their stats....I am BAFFLED by this and your story."

Hopefully people have heard about the PROSPER changes coming, otherwise the people who are posting that they cannot afford the sticker price to law school, are going to be in for a world of hurt if student loans are capped at 28k and their parents cannot pay for law school.

You're better off looking for this information on Top Law Schools. Nobody here has good news, and the posters have generally already graduated from school.

And someone in here could have news on a relative or friend that just got in.

Reading != posting. Not trying to be pedantic, but you might as well get used to this kind of scrutiny regarding your reading comprehension skills if you plan to attend law school.

law school acceptance day? never heard of it, they admit people all throughout spring and even summer as seats fill up

wait lists and deadlines are pretty meaningless also except as a way of getting money out of people

the only real deadline is start of orientation as they need butts in seats to pay professor salaries

Yesterday through today is Law School Admittance day for top schools
Some younger people I know have already been accepted, others are on waitlist.
While the law schools may admit later in the season, you want to have your package completed by November at the lsac, so you can get first draw on the available spots and scholarships.

"As acceptances start rolling in I'd request everyone to use lawschoolnumbers. The data was super helpful for me throughout the process from pre-LSAT to now. I'm sure I can't be the only one, so help out and use it! I also have to toss out a thank you to all of you in this sub. Most everyone in my life throughout this whole process was either discouraging or completely unaware of anything I was talking about. It's so great to have a community..to the people who don't understand the process, particularly practicing attorneys, albeit ones who graduated quite a while ago. Recently someone at the firm I work at was telling me I shouldn't worry about my grades once I'm in law school and how the total cost of non-discounted tuition for all three years was $30k when he attended..."

Honestly, the best drama posts here come from people currently in LS. I'm glad LS'ers come here on this board, though more should read as prelaw so they can wisely avoid getting into the career.

There really is a lot of drama there
And the worrying, angst and sobbing about getting in.

When really if they are not from wealthy families the pre JDers should be worried about paying off their loans or what they are actually going to do with that JD.

It looks like they go in all bright eyed thinking they will be working in Manhattan when they are jumping up and down about getting in at Wake Forest or Stetson or Ohio State.

This is also known as "broken dreams" day. When you realize you got into a univiersity you wanted to and will be joining the elite club of lawyers your dreams will be forever shattered. You will quickly realize in law school that law is boring, stuffy, and the contentious nature of it real crappy.

Only real toolbags end up loving the law...well at least the litigation side.

People on r/lawschooladmissions are delusional.

Enjoy losing your scholarship to Touro after section stacking.

Wow. Apparently feeling and opinions matter a lot more than actual statistical outcomes.

That guy will make a great addition to JDU in 5 years, assuming he survives the substance abuse to come.

Is TLS still lemming-ish. I know things have changed and there's a more T-14 or bust mentality, but they still view the profession through rose colored glasses

TLS still has lemmings, though there are people trying to dissuade lemmings. Still some 0Ls still wanting to go Indiana Mauer, though.

r/lawschooladmissions looks to be more lemming-ish, and they hate TLS for being risk-adverse and elitist, but there appears to be some self-policing on r/lawschooladmissions.
