Does anyone have insight into the Texas job market? Particularly in the finance and tax field? I know that Texas is big on energy but I do not have any experience in that area. I would be coming from a Northeastern state that has reciprocity and would hopefully be able to waive in. There have been a number of encouraging bullish articles on the Texas legal market but they are written mostly from the viewpoint of law firms.

I'm attracted to Texas because of the no state income tax, lower cost of living, cheaper real estate, relaxed gun ownership laws, and their politics. Basically, everything the northeast is not. I also speak Spanish fluently. Thanks in advance.

I haven't applied for jobs here, nor do I know anyone who has been applying. The economy is booming here. There's work to be done.

I'm in-house so my perception of the job market may differ from others but I would say the legal market has been trending up in Texas.
