Going through my W2 Box 12 Code DD, this is an eye popping figure.

This is for family coverage. This is not counting the money ($2000) I put away in a FSA last year.

Healthcare is the biggest racket in America right now.

Why... This is a good topic.

Nobody talks about it but part of the wage suppression scheme was use of medical benefits.

Look we can't pay you more since health benefits costs keep going up. They told people this for years while keeping wages down.

Then they just cut the health benefits while keeping the wages at the same supressed levels.

Wage slaves lose again. How many jobs actually offer real health's benefits, I am talking crappy Obamacare mandate which is designed to fleece wage slave even more for the benefit of the health insurance industry.

I haven't carried health insurance for the past 5 years. When my kid goes to the doctor we pay cash. I spend $600-1000 per year for health care.

I hope no one in your family gets ill but be aware you can be out over 10k for an er visit. If someone gets very sick like cancer or any chronic illness, unless you are very wealthy, bankruptcy is the only out.

That's definitely a risk. However, wasting third of income on covering this risk might not very sustainable either.
