Props to Nando for posting this guy's blog a few months ago. I check it every few weeks for a good laugh. This post is absolutely hilarious - it has so many errors it looks like it was written by an ESL student, but it has a powerful message that you dead-enders obviously missed:

Here is my favorite post from that blog - singing the praises of Red Lobster. I can feel the value of Nando's degree going up by the minute:

I noticed this disclaimer:

"All Drake bloggers are compensated for their time. All blogs are uncensored and the opinions expressed are not necessarily those of Drake University."

Compensated? This guy is a paid cheerleader for his university.

I don't his blog amusing at all. I'm actually not sure how anyone could take it seriously.

Actually, he's compensated by Red Lobster. If he writes good things about them on his blog, he gets all you-can-eat cheddar biscuits every time he goes there.

You've got to hand it to Red Lobster... I have NEVER seen a restaurant (and this includes Sylvia's and Spoonbread, good soul-food places in Harlem) with such a great hook into the black community. I wish I knew their secret -- is there something subliminal going on there?

Luck and charisma in my estimation. When employers have their pick of capable, talented workers, I think only the most "likable" candidates will land jobs.

Being likeable is a major skill.

The difference between an associate and a partner is the ability to bring in business. Charisma implies partner-material.

Despite what most people think, employers want partners. Good partners mean more money for everyone. They just don’t want deadweights - which is what most if JDU would be

I wholeheartedly agree with that assessment. Need to get out and do something related if one can’t do the above in the majority of instances.

I started sending out resumes and applying for jobs exactly one year before I figured I would be able to work. I took the New York and New Jersey bars, so the first day after the bar exam was Friday, August 1, 2008. So I started sending out resumes and applying for permanent employment on August 1, 2007.

I got my first law job literally the day I was admitted. Sent out rezzies for a year beforehand (unemployment % was generally in the same ballpark that's it's been in now); it was a colossal waste of time.

OMG, you mean we should try and fulfill future needs before they become necessary? CRAZY!

Who the f*ck actually only looks for a job the day they need one?

I am constantly surprised at the entitlement and idiocy of our culture. I mean really. If your boss is a jerk, the second you realize that, the resumes and applications go out.

Beta humans gotta beta.

How time passes fast.

2010 the economy was up-ticking, a lot of people that had a relatively easy time felt like they were better than people that had a hard time over the past 2 - 3 years. I've been on both ends of that, honestly, but Internet, just internet.
