I heard about the accusations before, but now that the Acosta/Epstein thing is blowing up might be giving him a harder time now.

Hope so, Dershowitz is deplorable and would love to see him go down.

There seems to be a propensity of "Me, too" allegations lately. After the extensive scrutiny in Kavenaugh, I take any new story with a grain of salt at the outset. If they come up with the serious goods, I'm sure I'll find out in due course. Until then, I ain't buyin'.

Moreover, Stormy Daniels and Avenatti are showing us a quite interesting peek into how the world of "accusations for cash" actually works and where all the motivation and conflicts lie between and among the scoundrels, themselves.

It seems to me the new business model for glam-seeking attorneys is to find a popular cause which often involves a mix between politics and sex scandals. If they can gen-up an accuser from somewhere to take down a big person, they can go public with a plastering of press-releases and MSM interviews. This allows them to get their hands on the $hundreds of thousands they can quickly raise in a GoFundMe account after baiting thousands of lemmings to pay for it.

It's an interesting, and real, business model for attorneys these days. It's seedier than PI ever was.

The problem for Dershowitz is that even if he was not himself doing anything with the underage girls, his representation of Epstein was pretty repulsive. Keep in mind this is not an "everyone deserves the best representation they can get" thing, because a lot of what Dershowitz was doing was politics and influence peddling, not the practice of law.

While I agree with you for the most part, I still don’t think Kavanaugh should have been confirmed.

I don’t care what he did 30+ years ago, but he perjured himself. And, if he’s that belligerent sober, he’s got to be a mean drunk. Coupled with his blackout drinking, I find the accusations more than credible.

But even if they’re not credible, he doesn’t have the temperament to be s judge

"if he’s that belligerent sober, he’s got to be a mean drunk"

I don't think that necessarily follows. I know plenty of guys who are aggressive or "mean" sober who are chill when drunk.

"he doesn’t have the temperament to be s judge"

That may be the case. He certainly overdid the righteous indignation thing during the hearings; one wonders who was coaching him and if they cringed afterwards. Some of the ABA's digging before the DCCir nom also said he seemed kind of immature or sanctimonious on the bench.

Dershowitz is being targeted because he's defending Trump's actions (NOT his policies or his personality).

But Dershowitz isn't going anywhere. Epstein had the Clintons on that island, as well as many others. Even if true, Dershowitz knows names.

DoJ prosecutors make careers by going easy on perps for future favors/employment. Obviously, nobody cares about this practice. Trump acolytes must be destroyed.
