Anyone use Rocket Lawyer's unlimited forms for $39 a month to get the format for wills, trusts, contracts, etc?
They have hundreds of forms that are state specific and with supplemental research it seems like a great way to make extra income rather than turning down work.

they're also complete garbage. Any half-decent attorney can rip those documents apart.

Looking to Rocket Lawyer for inspiration is one thing, and probably a good idea for a document you haven't done before (to see what you may have missed). But actually using their documents? that's very close to malpractice.

just to be clear, grabbing their form to look for content is a good way to get a template of some sort. But it's a lousy form/template. For a lot of documents, you can actually do better by googling for it. If you do want to spend money, you can buy quite good forms from e.g. NYSBA, MinCLE, Reuters, etc.

Also, "state specific" on rocketlawyer is a load of bull.

Rocketlawyer is junk.
Get yourself software that lawyers actually use like Fore! Trust Software or Cowles.

Terrible, terrible idea. You are not going to get anything good for $39 a month. Find out what other good attorneys in that practice area are using, and license that. It will cost a lot more than $39 a month, but it will be professional. If you are in CA, ask me and I will find out from friends what software they use.
