Almost all doc review ads say they require experience. How do you get experience when they only hire people with experience?

Ha. Did you do any litigation at your firm? Say you've handled eDiscovery if you've done anything close to it. Look up relativity videos online and say you know how to use it.

Why are you looking for a doc review job?

These things are time-killers that give you a (low) salary, but will not advance your "career" in any meaningful way. They're also becoming harder to get. And, even if you do get one, it's almost always temporary.

If you want to do something with your life, begin the process of transitioning into some other profession.

Apply anyway. The agencies like to advertise all these ridiculous requirements and pretend that they have the best reviewers, but when push comes to shove and they need to staff people the next morning, they will hire anyone with a bar number and a pulse. Don’t do doc review if you can avoid. Yes, it pays money, but it also wastes time. Time is a commodity that you can’t get back. English is paying so low now that I actually made more driving for Uber. Uber is flexible however, while the doc review wants you to treat it like a regular full time job with none of the benefits.
