Like any other creditor they are great when you are paying them.

Ford is a very aggressive creditor when it comes to collections, particularly repossessions. They are up there with USAA and credit unions in terms of nastiness.

I collected Ford Motor debt in prior job. Their ccontact was very responsive to me.

Repossession is a given. They are willing to be flexible in negotiating the deficiency after they commence lawsuit but they will insist on a conditional judgment or confession of judgment subject to repayment.

Good luck man,

Probably. You probably have to call in to bring it current and if you are late enough times some creditors won’t allow you to use online at all even after you bring it current.

More importantly, with Ford credit I would keep the car in the garage until you bring it current so they don’t pop the car. They are notorious for repoing cars even to their own detriment just to keep up their reputation.

Yes. It is disabled. You need to call and get current balance to pay and they most likely will demand it in check or money order.

Why? Well if I was you and could use my CC or Debit Card I’d do that, then after 60 days I’d file a “fraud” case with VISA or MC to try to pull a fast one and prevent repo. The creditors know you will do that too.

You will need to do that then get online bill pay turned back on during call.

Keep car hidden until then.

How far away should one park to avoid the repo man? Serious question I've wondered about before. Half a mile?

my old dead boss last made a payment in August. his ex and children still lived there.

the IRS liens are $100k, plus the mortgage of $136k to US Bank, and a bank note of $10k
to small local bank.

the house is 1880s era, looks abandoned, on five acres

wonder who gets paid if sold
