In July, prosecutors declined to charge Buck in connection with Moore’s death ― much to the chagrin of Moore’s family, who said Moore’s journal entries indicated that Buck had a fetish for seeking out gay black men and getting them hooked on dangerous drugs.

1. Different Strokes, folks.
2. Look at him getting a lawyer and not talking to the police. This is what you’re supposed to do. How are you going to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that this guy is intentionally killing black prostitutes without his confession? What percentage of gay black prostitutes are on drugs in the first place? 90%? 100%?

Let's get the story straight (Haha):

'Cops have blood on their hands': Protests erupt outside wealthy Democrat donor Ed Buck's home after SECOND man dies there in 18 months as police are criticized for failing to investigate death of male prostitute properly

**** A wealthy Democrat donor in California. He is untouchable.

The evidence of the first death could come in as a modus operandi hearsay exception. It sounds almost like a serial killer that has a ritual.

I think you mean 404b propensity evidence.

Yes - character propensity. It has been a while since I had to think about the rules of evidence.

The potentially bigger issue I see is whether you could convince a judge that Moore’s diary entries constitute a present sense impression under 803(a)(3). Those journals are what Moore’s family is harping on but the passages described in the Daily Beast article are pretty iffy on admissibility.

If this guy hires prostitutes who then overdose that's not murder. Guy is certainly a freak but seems like more smoke than fire at this point.

Unlikely solicitation is a felony. Did he give him the meth or somehow facilitate it? . Now I am really going back, but felony murder?

I have no direct experience but I presumed that it was the type of job in which you "age out" after about 35-40.

Let's say you have arbitrary money to pay for, and arbitrary amounts of viagra and crank to ply & plow, 2-5 dudes per day. The kind of dudes who bang paying dude clients are, let's face it, probably at higher risk of mortality than those who do not.

Keep up the habit long enough and sure, if a few hundred homosexual hustlers enter your dwelling alive then it doesn't seem unexpected a couple will exit dead.

Speed has everything to do with it. You see, the speed of the bottom informs the top how much pressure he's supposed to apply. Speed's the name of the game.
