Yes, Mr Bridgegate is an example of corruption. His predecessor Corzine was a crook too. Senator was on trial. The only state more corrupt, perhaps is Illinois which had something like 4 straight governors go to prison.

I would say the same thing about anyone coming out of the NJ casino business, such as our casino owner in chief.

Wouldn't think his chances are very good; isn't he in the pocket of Big Pharma? Seems that would be a significant problem this primary season(which doesn't start for another year).

I think his chances are good. He’s who I would bet on to get out of the field if I had to. He was more pragmatic and less crazy before Trump, so maybe beating Trump will mellow him out again.

Very good. Democrats keep making the mistake that people the average voter is deciding based on the issues. He would be enough to bring black vote back out in Detroit, Cleveland/Cincinatti, Philadelphia, et al which were decided by 80k votes.

Not saying he would make a good president, just that he'd get more votes than Hillary where they matter in an electoral system.

He is closeted.

"This A-/B+ list mostly movie actress turned down the request of this A list politician so I guess he will just be single during his run. I would think, and this is just my opinion, that he would get a huge boost if he just came out. This is not something you want people to find out through grainy photographs or tabloid hit jobs by one night stands from a decade ago."

She'd probably have better chances.
Otherwise I don't see the Trump base of religious righters accepting someone who just came out.

The Trump base will never vote for any democrat, ever.

I am a Democratic Trump supporter. President Trump is actually much closer politically to Bill Clinton than most of the modern Dems! Many in Trump's base supported Bernie and vote for non-Establishment backed candidates during the elections.. instead of a straight ticket.

In what sense are you a Democrat? I have heard your complaints about the “uniparty”, so I am doubting your Democratic bona fides. Were you an Obama voter? Kerry? Gore?

No to Obuma. Yes to Kerry and Gore. I am a moderate, blue dog Democrat. We are quickly becoming extinct.

Since I'm too lazy to read Breitbart and the conservative conspiracy blogs, your ramblings are amusing and keep me up to date on the Bannon crowd. But even you need to avoid false comparisons. Clinton appointed Ginsberg and Breyer; Trump Gorsuch and Kavanaugh(this follows through all judicial appointments); Trump withdrew from the Paris accords; Clinton let Gore have his say on climate change; Clinton didn't close the govt-ever; Trump's threatening to do so over a campaign promise...the list goes on and on.
So no, you're not a democrat; you post that here because you think it gives traction to your conspiracy theories.

I am registered as such. As I said, I am a blue dog Democrat. I support labor unions, believe in a woman's right to choose (although I am against late term abortion), and I support gay rights (I am not on board with the trannies).

The Dem's current policies are extreme and socialist. They all might as well change their names to "Democratic Socialist." It is no longer the party of Kennedy.. or Bill Clinton.

Answer me this: Whose politics do you think are aligned more closely: Bill Clinton and Donald Trump or Bill Clinton and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?

Btw, the federal government was closed down under Clinton.. twice.

Reply
toooldtocare (Feb 3, 2019 - 10:38 am)

Revisionist history: the GOP closed the govt both times under Clinton, but you don't mention that. And based on your postings, you don't support a single position of the democrats. You like to mention you're a blue dog b/c you think it's unique or clever; it's not. You might as well call yourself the last Federalist or the last Whig, as your conspiracy laden political views have more in common with them than any existing political party. And like it or not, right now, Clinton would have more in common with AOC than Trump-especially regarding the selection and appointment of federal judges.
And the democrats are the party of Kennedy-Teddy Kennedy.

All I'm saying is that rumors regarding Booker's alleged homosexuality doesn't add up to a hill of beans. Trump committed adultery on all his wives and no one gives AF.

If Stoller, who detests almost every elected Dem, is tweeting this:

And Booker follows through on the promise of that speech, he’s going to be very formidable.

I think he’s got appeal in all parts of the country. Drop support for vouchers, though.

No chance. He's a "third way" democrat deep in the pockets of our financial overlords. He'll carry a base, but won't carry the fringe voters the way Kamala will. Kamala has charisma and he doesn't. I can't see him getting the best of trump in a debate.

He's like the black, I mean African American, Jim Everett. Have Jim Rome interview him and call him some sort of playground insult. Not sure he's ready to lead forces and stuff.

No offense.

ZERO chance.

1. Admitted groper in college. Bye.
2. (Like Kamala ) Too soon. Only 2 seconds in the Senate with ZERO achievements. Bye.
3. (Like Kamala) Known in Washington as a publicity-seeker with ZERO Senate achievements. Bye.
4. Too big a proponent of Wall St./big banks/corp. Bye.
5. A proponent primarily of ID politics (always griping about race, illegal immigration rights) to the exclusion of more unifying, broader "bread and butter" message/issues most Americans care about (jobs, healthcare, cost of living). That "strategy" will alienate independents, "moderate" dems/GOP voters, whites--most of whom will stay home (or vote 3P or GOP) in 2020, thus ensuring ANOTHER repeat of 2016, electoral college victory for GOP. Bye.

I'm out of touch with the party.

I have no clue. I just know that no one, Beto, Harris, Booker, Warren, Biden.. I cant get excited about any of them.

Hopefully someone comes out of nowhere. I wanted Martin O'Malley to run but he seems to understand he's not what the party wants for some reason.
