Kindof an Asian spice girls in musical style, heavy on the choreography.

NAY.

I dont particular like kpop. Mostly because their stars are manufactured. They attend schools, and have all aspects of their life curated. You never get a real kpop star the way you would in jpop.

This is "K-Pop"?

Apparently some Koreans are schooled in British english
Or they put on British accents to appear cool
There's a couple of JDU regs that work in that part of the world that could help explain this.

"However, educated people in Korea like British accent as it is regarded as elegance, romantic and authentic."
"As a Korean who speaks with a generic British accent (I've had a British-Canadian RLA teacher for several years), I can tell you that most of my mates find my English... refreshing."

"Koreans learn American English, but a lot of Korean girls I talked to think British accents are sexy and exotic so it may be an advantage to speak with a British accent in Korea too…"

K-pop music is pretty abysmal from what I've heard of it. But Koreans really know how to make their female pop stars attractive. Hence, I have no complaints and welcome their influence on American culture.

Mark me as a Yay.

As for their “Brit” accents, Jennie and Rose grew up in New Zealand and Australia.

I originally wasn’t feeling Blackpink when they first came out. Back when “Boombayah” was taking the Kpop world by storm. I thought they seemed too young, like teens.

Then “Whistle” came out which I thought was just ok but not all that special. But it was really “Ddu du Ddu Du” that basically changed my opinion to determine that they’re basically the Kpop girl group to beat right now.
