I have never thought Obama was anything more than a mediocre president at best. But you can’t deny the fact that stocks rose and unemployment declined steadily during his tenure as president.

Despite that, his detractors claimed that the economy was worsening and unemployment rising throughout his presidency. They cheered Trump and promised that his nonsensical policies would change the course of the economy.

Two years into his presidency, they certainly have done that. Stock markets are dropping, there are fears of an impending recession, and we are in the midst of a government shutdown that is on track to be one of the longest in recent memory.

Yet there are some loonies and idiots out there who still push the Orwellian narrative that things were at their worst under Obama and America is doing fantastic under Trump. Up is down, down is up. Weird.

Trumpklumpfs should be banned from voting in the next election because they're single handedly dumbing down THE WORLD, damn and they have big rallies repeating the same old tired Trumpaganda over and over and over like ROBOTS -- actually robots can't be that stupid

Don't know about anyone else but I personally like the idea of having to put off retirement a few more years, or maybe even decades, if it means my favored political team makes the other team cry.

Obama economy had zero rates for get this eight yrs. Again 8 yrs. Berdumbke and yellen printed 4 trillion. Now powell has raised rates 9 times ans is also shrinking the balance by 50 billion a month. Big difference but dont let this get in the way of your agenda. Trade ah trade......you down with TOO? GOLD STANDARD TPP?

Interest rates were at zero because the last republican president left the economy in shambles. Obama brought it back.
If trump thought low interest rates should continue, he should have appointed someone who had similar beliefs. Unfortunately, he was too stupid to do that.

Increasing interest rates is a good thing. It’s nobody else’s fault but Trumps that he has touted and focused on stock prices over all other economic indicators.

Well, stock market volatility is not a metric of economic growth. So complaining that recent volitility is a “recession” is just silly. Of course, Trump encouraged this fallacy by touting the market as a benchmark of his success...

It’s so weird. The guy is completely full of s—-, but he constantly drives the conversation. The market talk is an example. Now he has the Democrats talking about open borders and impeachment. What?!?! Why don’t they talk about things that people based their votes on? Do they HAVE to dance to his tune?

The effect of trump's presidency has in many ways been the opposite what his supporters thought it would be. Women are less deferential and more woke than ever, and the difference between the two parties has become shocking when it comes to women. See the stats below.

Keep counting beans! That is where it is all at! Racism and sexism is where you keep score continuously! I have no problem with more women in Congress but it should just happen naturally like all things. Natural progression not an active policy of doing X and Y and Z.

The GOP has a serious women problem, and it is pretty hilarious. There is no way to gerrymander around women, unless all the incels form communities and get sex robots (plausible).

Deficit financed tax cuts at the top of an economic cycle. Pure stupidity, but Trump is at least honest that he doesn’t care because he won’t be president when the bill comes due and republican donors were going to abandon them if they didn’t get their beloved cuts.

TLDR: Cowboys won!

Bread and circuses until QE infinity and economic collapse. Meh, Losers lose. Me and Thiel will be in NZ.

This is a lot more what I think about on Trump becoming what republicans criticized Obama for. Unchecked executive power and pushing aggressive and novel theories on the same. Bush was bad, Obama was worse and together they handed Trump a loaded gun. But unsurprisingly the republicans don’t give a rats ass now.
